YOU need to be the leader for your dog, not a trainer. If a trainer comes into your home and directly trains your dog, they look to the trainer as the leader, not you. So when that trainer leaves, your dog won't listen to you.
Training is more effective when your dog is in a natural state of mind. Dogs typically act differently when a stranger is in your home. In order to best assess and understand your dog, we need to see them in their natural state of mind.
