Mastering Manners
Owners and their dogs will get the opportunity to practice their handling skills around distractions.
We will be playing games and running through obedience drills. There will be downtime for rest and active participation throughout. Your trainers will be there to answer any questions, and the games will simulate life-like scenarios to prepare you and your dog for the future. This will also build comradery with Command Canine clients who have also gone through our program. You may find dog owners you can set up walks or play dates with, as well as ask them for advice on what has worked best with their dog.

Adult Dogs:
Recovering Reactives
We will be practicing controlled exposure to other dogs, learning to look at other dogs from a distance, learning escape maneuvers, learning interruptions to break their focus, and practicing real-life simulations such as passing dogs on the sidewalk and seeing dogs turn corners and surprise them.
Working around other controlled dogs and people distractions, working with owners facing similar issues, expert guidance from your trainers, simulations of real-world events that may cause your dog to react, extra help to step in if needed, support along the way to help ease your stress and calm your nerves, muscle memory building for you and your dog so you do not have to think twice when something happens, and desensitizing your dog to these situations so their reactivity decreases or goes away.
