There's So Much Information Out There
You’ve done the research. Tried the tips. Asked for advice. But nothing’s really working. You’re second-guessing everything and wondering if your dog is just too much.
It’s not your fault; it’s that you’ve never had a real plan that is customized for your dog.

The Right Plan Starts With Understanding, Not a Curriculum

At Command Canine, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter dog training or one-size-fits-all obedience drills.
We start by listening. Tell us what’s going on, what’s driving you nuts, and what you’re hoping life with your dog could look like.
From there, we will craft a personalized training plan using our Mind & Manners™ Method.
Ready to find out what the right training plan for your dog?

Manners: Teaching Skills That Stick

Let's Talk About Your Dog!
We Could Tell You That It Works, Instead, We'll Let Them

Molly J
I felt safe and confident with my dog in their care. You can tell they all really care about the dogs and want what is best for them. Ethical, prompt, knowledgeable. Highly recommend! And have a well trained off leash happy dog to prove it!

Elizabeth J
Charlie is like a different dog. He is overall more subdued, obeys commands, and is so willing to learn! Now we can take him to public places and enjoy ourselves. I could not be more pleased with how his training went. It has truly created a better relationship with our dog.

Donny B
We can’t say enough about how great this program is. Without them, we may have rehomed him because this was our second training program. We had almost given up hope that he would be a good fit for our family. Thank you so much!
Common Questions, Clear Answers
What if my dog needs to work around other dogs, strangers, or distractions?
We have a variety of resources to help your dog work around other dogs, strangers, and distractions. We
use our own personal dogs, as well as other client's dogs to use as helpers during lessons. Our team of
trainers are also available to help out as "strangers" during lessons. If we need to work under distractions,
we often go to parks, greenways, and pet-friendly stores like Lowes. We also gradually increase the level of distractions as your dog becomes more comfortable and confident.
Can I contact my trainer in between lessons if I have questions?
Of course! We understand that training can be challenging, and we want to be there for you
every step of the way. We strongly encourage you to reach out to your trainer at any time in
between lessons if you have any questions or concerns. And don't forget, if you have good news
to share about your dog's progress, we would be thrilled to hear about it and celebrate with you!
How often will I need to attend training sessions with my dog?
It is important for you to be present at each training session with your dog. We train you to train your
dogs, so you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to continue training at home. We
encourage all family members to be present during training sessions, as this can help with consistency and reinforce the training for the dog. However, if certain family members may pose as a distraction for you
while working with your dog, we recommend they not be present during the training sessions.
How much time and commitment is required for training?
We understand that everyone has a different schedule and we try to be as flexible as possible with your training plan. Most of the training can happen in passive moments throughout the day, such as during walks or meal times. For active lessons, we recommend that each owner in a lesson program work on their homework for at 15-20 minutes every day to achieve the best results. Our clients with the best results are those who are willing to work with their dogs more and make training a regular part of their routine!
What is the scheduling flexibility?
We understand that our clients lead busy lives, which is why we are flexible with scheduling training
sessions to accommodate your needs. Our trainers work most days of the week, and we can work with you
to find a time that fits your schedule. However, we do recommend that clients try to be flexible with their
schedules, as evenings and weekends tend to be in high demand and get booked up quickly. We want to
ensure that you are able to get the most out of your training program, so we encourage you to
communicate your scheduling needs with us so we can find a suitable time that works for you.
What is your policy on refunds or guarantees for your training services?
Your dog's behavior is extremely complex and guaranteeing results is unethical. Any trainer who gives you a guarantee of specific results is giving you a red flag, not peace of mind.
Guaranteeing specific results usually means they are coercing your dog into complying or addressing symptoms of behaviors versus addressing underlying needs and emotions. This is usually done by force, fear, or quick fixes that don’t last. That’s not how we operate.
Here’s what we do guarantee:
-
You will see progress. We promise.
-
We will treat both you and your dog as individuals and tailor your plan to fit your needs and lifestyle.
-
We will give you the tools and guidance to build better habits, confidence, and manners.
-
We will give you the tools and guidance to correct and prevent problem behaviors.
-
We’ll be honest about what’s possible, what it will take, and how to get there.
-
We’ll support you every step of the way. We won't leave you hanging.
But don't just take our word for it: read our 110+ five star reviews and hear directly from our clients about their experience and the success they achieved!
