We are currently looking for Dog Trainers in the Charlotte and Lake Norman, NC areas.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct “In-Home” lessons

    • Effectively teach clients how to train dogs in basic/advanced obedience as well as behavioral issues 

  • Provide notes/updates for each lesson

    • Work with CRM 
       

  • Board and Train between 1-2 dogs at a time (as needed)

    • Dogs will reside at your home during the entirety of the Board and Train program

  • Provide daily pictures/videos/text messages to update the client on the training performed that day as well as progress made.

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organization and presentation skills

  • Professional demeanor with clients and team members

  • Able to listen and understand people clearly

Type of Employment 

  • We are looking for full time positions, however we will consider part time as well.  This is a 1099 employment opportunity. Ideal candidates will be able to do conduct In Home Lesson as well as Board and Trains (keeping dogs in their home).  We will also consider candidates that will focus on EITHER In Home Lessons OR Board and Trains.

 

  • New employees will be in an evaluation/training phase - during which they will shadow the head trainer, as well as assist with basic needs.  The length of the training phase will be dependent upon experience as well as completion of the evaluation of the Head Trainer.  Once the training/evaluation is complete, the trainer will earn income based upon number of lessons as well as board and trains conducted.

Experience and Compensation

  • Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of professional dog training experience. Independent dog trainers looking to focus on training and not worry about business expenses and other tasks associated with running a business are encouraged to apply.  This is a perfect opportunity for you! 

  • Experience with working medium to high income clients is a plus. Knowledge of basic obedience training techniques as well as some knowledge of behavioral training is required.  ​

  • Compensation is based upon the number of lessons and Board and Train programs the trainer manages.

  • Full-time trainers working a full schedule have the ability to make 65k+
