What's the difference between Mind & Manners?

Does your dog need obedience training (Manners) or does your dog have a deeper-rooted behavioral issue (Mind)?

The Importance of a Proper Assessment

Obedience and Behavior Modification are very different and require different techniques.

Without a proper assessment, your dog could go through a program that misses or ignores any potential issues and could actually create or exacerbate aggressive or anxious behavior, which could lead to a dangerous situation.

Our team is lead by Behavior Modification Specialists that have over 70 years combined experience in Behavior Modification.  We understand how a dog’s mind processes information and perceives their environment.

MIND (Behavior Modification)

Your dog can’t tell you what’s going on in their mind, but they will try to show you.

Some dogs have deeper-seeded behavioral issues that hinder their ability to be the well behaved and happy dog you want them to be. It can be very difficult to diagnose what type of behavioral issue your dog may have.  If you don't understand the core issue and treat them the right way, all of your best efforts won't be effective, or even make things worse.

We specialize in behavior modification. Our team is lead by Behavior Modification Specialists that have over 70 years combined experience in Behavior ModificationThese techniques are completely different from Obedience techniques.

Many trainers say they can handle behavior cases, however they often lack the proper experience to work with dogs with behavioral needs.

MANNERS (Obedience Training)

Your dog can learn to be polite, but it takes more than just luck and treats.

Does your dog pull you around while you’re on walks, bark at other dogs, jump on house guests, or ignore you when you call? It can be frustrating.  We can help develop their skills in order to have your dog become the most well-behaved dog in the neighborhood.

Every dog learns differently.  What works for some dogs may not work for your dog.  We have the expertise to know which training method will be most effective for your best friend.  Whether you’re a lifelong dog person, or a first time dog-owner, our Manners programs will help you form a more trusting and confident relationship with your dog.

When Mind and Manners Meet

Having a mentally healthy dog that is well versed in obedience unlocks a more enjoyable life with your dog than you thought possible.

The end result is having a strong bond with a dog that you understand, and that understands you. Stop having your dog be a source of stress.  Go on peaceful, calm and enjoyable walks. Feel confident about house guests entering and staying in your home. Have the best dog in the neighborhood. Enjoy your dog (and life) more, overall!
